Kai (Kingdom Hearts - Genderswitch): Basically, he just loves Kai. Kai's one of the nicest people he knows and would never blame him for anything.
Sasori (Naruto - Canon - Older): He has nothing but love and admiration for Sasori. He loves listening to him talk, and learning from

him. He knows Sasori is the only person that can truly understand what he's been through, and he also knows he provides at least some comfort for the other as well.

Sasori grew up in the village hidden in the sand, Sunagakure, a normal child. He was quite smart for his age, beginning to read at three years old, though his speech had been a bit slow. He had the knack for puppeteering, an art learned from his grandmother, and had mastered chakra control by five. He was considered a protegé of the village, causing the other children to shun him, for both his small stature and the fact he was "better" than them. This affected his social skills horribly, causing him to stay inside most days, the puppets his grandmother made for him his only playmates.
He lived in a house with his grandmother, and his parents whenever they were home. They would come home for his birthday when they could, and for national holidays, but other than that he was alone. He spent hours just looking at their photographs, etching the memory of them into his mind, forever. He was only six when he found out his parents had been dead for over a year, that they had been killed in the war with Konohagakure -- the reason they hadn't come home for his sixth birthday, the reason they had missed Christmas. The reason they had missed everything for over a year. Chiyo had said nothing about it. She had kept it from him. She had never once told him, that they were dead.
He had heard Sandaime Kazekage (who he's always admired like a hero) talking about his parents while walking passed the coucil hall. He had been saying how "broken up" Chiyo still was. "Poor Sasori-kun." The child had figured they would be home soon, as his birthday was close, and had picked his mother a flower, to put in her hair. Sandaime-sama had found him outside of the hall, staring at the cobblestone ground. When offering to walk him home (as it had been getting late), Sasori had smacked his hands away and thrust the flower at him, running home. He had tearfully yelled at his grandmother, for lying to him, then locked himself in his parent's room, refusing to come out for nothing but meals.

This is where Sasori is taken from and put into Appled.

Basic Bio: The original Doctor Kuroudo Akabane was a genius doctor in a mostly more normal Earth-reality. He joined an organization called the Brain Trust that sought to pool the brightest minds in various scientific disciplines, business, politics, and the occult, in the name of creating a utopia. This organization used their pooled resources to investigate ways to fundamentally alter reality, to the extent that they actually created a mirror-universe as part of ongoing experiments; while travel between the two was unlikely to impossible, those directly involved in it had some knowledge of and connection to their mirror-selves, enough to use that as a way to observe and meddle in the experimental reality directly. One of the most immediately obvious differences was the Mugenjou, a tower in Shinjuku that served as the connecting control-mechanism in the created reality; their mirror-selves resided in the uppermost levels of the Mugenjou, in a place referred to as "Upper Babylon".
This mirror-universe proved more unstable than they had expected, with occasionally outright broken laws of physics and reality leading to a rise of pseudo-science and strange powers. They adapted their mirror-selves to keep up with this, and for a time observed the strange glitches trying to figure out what happened; their goals had been creating perfect order and peace, not a system more chaotic and dangerous than their own.
At some point, Mirror!Akabane quit his medical practice there, where he had been keeping busy as a trauma surgeon, and left the Mugenjou to enter into one of the more dangerous professions that had arisen in the mirror-reality, with the new goal of testing both the extent of his own powers and the limits and extent of the less-static reality. It's likely that both Original! and Mirror!Akabane acquired an attachment to the chaotic system in quiet defiance of the Brain Trust's plans, as he's been both enjoying the chaos and quietly working to prevent the Brain Trust from scrapping the experiment and starting over. Mirror!Akabane quickly acquired a reputation as one of the most dangerous Transporters in the business, with the happily accepted nickname of "Doctor Jackal" due to the way he seemed to revel in death and bloodshed when challenged.

Powers: Akabane has 108 scalpel-ish knives in his body that he can control, along with being able to control his own blood. He also has somewhat superhuman reflexes and is stronger than he should be, as well as harder to kill and slower to be affected by severe injuries. Not all of it will necessarily make logical sense, as he is fundamentally a creature of a somewhat unstable reality.

Notes: If it wasn't obvious, the Room took Mirror!Akabane. He's well aware of his status as a reality-hacked mirror of his other self, and maintains knowledge of the Brain Trust's experiments and research into manipulation of reality. He's also aware that his personality is partly deviant from the original; the original still works as a doctor, while he had a breakdown after a patient-death leading to his abandonment of the profession in favor of something where he could firsthand test the limits of the created reality. (Of course, the original may've had a similar breakdown at some point and just be vicariously venting through Mirror!Akabane; after all, the guy's trying to help hack reality.)
A major factor in many of his decisions is which option is the most amusing to him. His idea of "Amusing" is somewhat random and not likely to make sense to anyone else all the time.
He does have a conscience. I picture it as being something like Boo from Megatokyo - A small fluffy thing that sits on his shoulder and mosty-ineffectually squeaks and flails in his ear. It's sometimes listened to, but just as often ignored, or openly annoyed because the more panicked squeaking apparently amuses him.
The two big exceptions to this are a randomly occuring chivalrous streak (he's inclined to be charitable to children, noncombatant women, and people that're obviously innocents/harmless), and that People He Likes are vaguely...sort of...somewhat safer.
Just because I play him doesn't mean I get what's going on in his head half the time.
Contrary to popular belief, while he does enjoy fights and bloodshed, he's not likely to attack people randomly - he might fish for a fight if he's bored or someone interests him/annoys him, but more often than not he doesn't start fights, he finishes them. If he's decided he likes someone, then he's not that likely to kill them even he gets into a fight with them. He generally doesn't aim at people that aren't capable of being a threat unless they shoot first, are making an obstacle of themselves to some goal of his, or there's some other reason.
This doesn't mean it's not possible to piss him off enough to get aimed at on principle.
He's something of a caffeine addict - do not interfere with his coffee.
He's still perfectly capable of acting as a (mundane) doctor and trauma surgeon, for what it's worth here.

People He Likes: Viral, Matt, Seras, Pip. Orihime and Kai also have basically instant immunity with him. I think he's officially getting along well with Muraki. He has an interest in Neuro already and didn't even catch his name. Also, he and Road may be able to kill a T-Rex at 100 paces with combined creepy too-cheerful-too-friendly-nonright smiling....even if she has achieved the rare distinction of unnerving him.
People He Dislikes: Deidara. This seems likely to include -any- Deidara. He's currently leery of Sylar.

Special: Hisoka is a Yami-verse shinigami. (I -am- starting to get a sort of perverse amusement out of how much confusion you can sow with that word in the Room.)

Basic Bio: Hisoka is one of those people who has come to suspect some higher power finds amusement in making him suffer. Born to an old-school noble family in the Nagasaki area with some (very large snake) skeletons in their closet and legends of a curse from the Other Side Of The Family, his parents freaked out badly when his empathic powers showed themself when he was young, figuring the Snakes' curse was about to kick in again. He was kept isolated from others as much as possible, bounced between school and private tutoring, and while he was taught many of the old traditions since he was the sole male heir, he was also often locked in a small room in the basement when there wasn't some reason for him to be out. He occasionally managed to slip out onto the household grounds at night, but other than that, really wasn't let out much.
As if that wasn't enough, he had the luck to sneak out of the house one night just in time to witness a murder by one Kazutaka Muraki, be noticed as a witness, and register as Shiny and Not Normal. He was attacked, raped, had his memory wiped, and was left with a curse Marked on him that killed him slowly; he spent the next three years in a hospital, with doctors at a loss to figure out what was wrong, and a high likelihood of Muraki keeping track of him. When he finally died, his family was almost as much relieved as anything, and quick to discourage any investigation into his mysterious death.
Thanks to all of this, he wasn't exactly up for just quietly shuffling off the mortal coil, instead being adopted into the Ministry of the Underworld as a shinigami, to do work that was equal parts social-work for the dead and dying, and underpaid-cop for anything meddling with the dead and dying in unnatural ways. Ironically, while he was still stuck with the Curse, dying became the best thing to happen to him, as for the first time in his life there were people that honestly cared about what happened to him. Unfortunately, the underpaid cop side of the work meant further run-ins with Muraki.
Since his death, he's had his memory of the circumstances behind his death returned, started to get over some of his trust issues, and been through quite a bit of strangeness; he's acquired a bit of "jaded cynical cop" mentality.

Powers:He's extremely empathic to the point that it's as much a disability as a gift - he'll pick up on a LOT about anyone around him, but gets frequent migraines, vertigo, nausea, TMI, and stressed-nerves from it, plus it makes it very difficult for him to do anything that'd directly injure someone. While he knows some spells for banishing, sealing, and exorcism of spirits, he's basically only dangerous if he has a gun or bow and arrow and is at least ten feet away from the target. He regenerates damn near anything done to him that isn't supernaturally augmented; most smaller injuries will heal almost as quickly as they happen. Major traumas can knock him unconscious and leave him in a temporary state of "fake death"...but even being hacked apart with a cleaver or torn apart won't even keep him down for a full hour. He's fairly used to pain, and can and will abuse the "fake deaths". He can short-range teleport within line-of-sight if there's no major obstacles, and do some minor levitation; also he can go into a "ghost mode" state where he's invisible and inaudible to anyone that can't see spirits, although he's still solid and tangible, and will still have a scent that animals could track. He wasn't entirely human before he died (A large chunk of his family tree are Mamushi) but good luck getting him to admit that - anything that might go along with that has been very much suppressed.

Notes: Hisoka can be scarily devious, vindictive, and underhanded if something motivates him to do so, and can be VERY vengeful. More often, he's bedraggled and antisocial because of his empathy, but -does- care about what happens to people, and is better-natured than is usually visible from his attitude. He's a bit paranoid, although it's offset by his empathy; he dislikes close contact, but isn't likely to be paranoid without some kind of reason.
His social skills are pretty iffy; he did spend most of his original life in periods of isolation or abuse, and because of his empathy his threshold for dealing with annoyance from others is very low.
He's well aware of his own basic helplessness in a confrontation and tries to plan for either alternate ways of dealing with threats, or minding having friends nearby that would be capable of defending him. Itbugs him to no end that he can't return the favor if someone else is threatened.
He picked up computers very well during his time in Meifu, and has a bad habit of reading locked-but-hackable entries, even if he doesn't comment on them.

Relationships:
*Matt: Hisoka has some attachment to Matt as someone helpful/friendly that actually picked up pretty fast how to avoid hurting him due to the empathy.
*He considers Seras a friend, and someone he trusts for protection and help enough to deal with the fact that the energy of her aura isn't very comfortable for him.
*Orihime, Genderswitch!Lavi, and a few others have registered as "Safe/Good people" by aura; Orihime he still stays a bit away from becuase she has a VERY loud-bright aura.
*His current understanding of Bleach-verse shinigami is "Close enough to be considered associates".
*Muraki is the top of his paranoia list, obviously, and he still wants revenge.
*Anybody he knows associates with Muraki is there by extension - Larxene, Xemnas, Orochimaru, and Akabane.
*He's already edgy about Aizen, despite having not met him yet.
*Kuja, Road, and B he's paranoid of on principle, from their auras.
*Sylar is fast acquiring a spot high on his paranoia list.

Minamimoto Sho

Basic Bio: (I'm apparently incapable of playing characters whose bios don't include spoilers of some kind. So yeah. SPOILERS.)
Sho's mortal life is largely unimportant. At some point when he was eighteen, he died, entered the Underground, and became a part of Shibuya's Game. He survived being a Player, and instead of being restored to life, opted to become one of the Harrier Shinigami, working as a direct obstacle and Darwinistic opponent to the Players.
He excelled at this, rising through the ranks in record time in spite of his erratic behavior and near-inability to cooperate with others, and became one of the Game Masters controlling and coordinating entire week-long Rounds, devising traps and trials to weed out as many Players as possible. He grew in power possibly beyond the Conductor's realization, and began to have designs on continuing his rise in rank past even that, aiming for the almost godlike position of the Composer. This was a difficult target, even for him, and he ended up spending a while building power and watching for an opening.
Then the Composer and Conductor had a falling out, and the Composer went RealGround mortal-side as part of a wager. Sho saw his chance, making multiple assassination attempts on the temporarily-weakened Composer. The first, simplest attempt ("Shoot him while he's RG and human") failed miserably, but he was given information by a Fallen Angel on some taboo tricks.
Unfortunately for him, the Composer wasn't weakened enough to be easy prey. Sho ended up using a suicidal attack, pouring all of his energy into a flare that killed him but only wounded the manifested Composer, who went into hiding in an alternate reality. At this point, if things had gone according to Sho's plans, he would've been put through the Taboo-refinery symbol and recreated in a much more powerful form to try and finish the job.
The Room had other ideas.

Powers/Oddness: Sho naturally exists "UG" - phased off from normal reality - while he interacts normally with inanimate objects, he's only visible, audible, and tangible to people that're dead, supernatural, or can see spirits/etc. He can shift "RG" - normal-solid-reality - at will.
He has six wings that look like solidified tribal-patterns of bat wings that are normally "retracted"; even if he's shifted down to "RG" and solid/visible completely, they're only visible on "UG".
He's actually scarily powerful for someone of his sanity level as long as he's UG, although he habitually doesn't let on to a lot of it when he's not using it...he can't use most of his powers when he's RG side.
He can take the form of a black werelion-ish creature about twice his normal height; he can't go RG in that form.

Other Notes: Sho likely has a list of Issues; it's not likely that any amount of therapy or medication in the world could help him at this point. (Besides, he doesn't SUFFER from insanity, he enjoys every minute.) When he's bored or agitated-without-a-direct-goal or just has any amount of free time, he's prone to "art" - asymmetrical yet scarily stable heaps of random junk and large objects. It frustrates him to no end that there's not much in the way of such in the Room, but he's been making do with spare couches. No mention of the kinda obvious linguistic tic. >_>;
He has very little regard for others, a huge ego, a short attention span for anything he's not actively interested in, and I'm still figuring out how much of his speech patterns are intentional and how much he might not even notice that he's doing. He Does Not Play Well With Others.
He's currently also very frustrated and believes his ending up in the Room was the result of the Composer messing with his attempt at nuking both of them and self-resurrecting by sending him to some bizarre alternate universe. I foresee a couple major mental breakdowns in his future in the Room.

Relationships: Viral is an amusing cat-toy. Ha-Nuel is a recognized threat. Axel is possibly also amusing. Not many others have registered that much.

Basic Bio: (ZOMG spoilers, if it weren't obvious.) Kuja's not naturally born - he was engineered and created by the sole survivor of a dead planet, partly to serve as a weapon to speed the death of another world so that its energy could be used to restore his native Terra, and partly to some day serve as a new body for one of the dead souls of Terra. As such, he wasn't -intended- to have a strong will of his own, and the very clear development of such was seen as a massive glitch by his creator. He made a pain of himself by trying to get rid of any obvious replacement and the limited resources/time remaining of the dead-world meant that he wasn't expendable enough to just scrap and start over.
He spent most of his life going back and forth between Terra and the victim world of Gaea, infiltrating himself into high society and royalty, acting as an artificer, creator of magical weapons, and courtier; once he had an established position, he used his influence and resources to manipulate and spark off a war that nearly collapsed all the major kingdoms. While doing that - his given task by his creator - he sought some power that could be used to strike back against his creator, who held a kill-switch leash over his head. He found something too late, and had the killswitch invoked; he snapped completely, and ended up taking out his creator, the complex he'd been created in, and nearly doing severe damage to Gaea in an attempt to take both worlds out along with himself.
The same replacement he'd tried to get rid of attempted to save his life at the last minute; the killswitch and injuries he'd sustained were too much for that, although he's still trying to make sense of the rescue attempt.

Powers: Kuja is a bioengineered creature meant to be a weapon of mass destruction and help collapse civilization on a planet. As such, he is my other "God what did I unleash?" character...but he's not likely to even let on to most of it unless he's directly threatened or seriously pissed off.
He uses mostly "Black magic" - destructive magic, and basically has a good chunk of the range of FF-type magics of that sort. (Blizzard-range, Fire-range, Thunder-range, Gravity-spells, etc.; also sleep and paralysis. Also ruling some shielding-type spells protecting against magic and physical blows.) He's perfectly capable of dialing these down, and some sort of heating spell is probably how he survives that costume when it's colder out. The probably-lucky thing is that he's not very fond of getting his hands dirty, and prefers more indirect ways to wreck things if he's being destructive or vindictive.
He also seems to be capable of some kind of domination over some monsters and animals, and was prone to keeping "pet" monsters, dragons, etc.. It didn't seem to work on most more-normal races (humans, the Burmecians, etc.). For purposes of the Room, there's very few other characters that'd even be a risk factor, and I'd rule that it's MUN option if he can do the charm trick on them, as it seems iffy at best on anything language-capable.
Being what he is and from what Terran bioengineering seemed capable of, he's built to survive; he has a high resistance to poisons and toxins, and can survive a great deal of punishment before injuries start getting the better of him. He can't teleport or anything without outside assistance, and while he's stronger than he looks he's not that great with physical force, but he's very agile.
If he's pushed far enough, he's capable of a "Trance" shift, with a lot more (now crimson) feathers, a huge power boost, access to a few spells that he wouldn't normally have (Flare being the main noticeable one), and usually a total berserk fit. This is very, very difficult to trigger.
He's utterly incompetent with any kind of mundane weaponry - if anything blocks or interferes with his magic, he becomes a very big wuss, even if in-theory he could be physically capable of quite a bit.
Given tools and time, he's capable of making some fairly impressive works of magical artifice, although it's doubtful he'll get either in the Room. He also has some familiarity with advanced technology, but it's a very different basis than what others would be familiar with.

Notes: In spite of his creator's best efforts, he still has an ego the size of a small solar system. The main chink in it is if he's made to dwell too much on being someone's construct... ... at which point he tends to get very vindictive-bitchy. If it's not intentional his demeanor will fray...if it is intentional, his temper will probably go off.
Unless something sets off his temper, he's calm, soft-spoken, charming, polite, prone to occasional dramatics, and sometimes unsettling. He's also prone to reflexive flirting and sometimes not-so-reflexive flirting. He really does prefer to not make himself the -center- of attention - even when he's playing the "Shakespearean Villain" he prefers the Iago method of turning people against each other from the shadows. While he's not really great with the concept of empathy for others, he does grasp the concept of "taking care of his toys" and "gaining people's good graces by helping them"; he's also both intelligent and not really prone to wasting energy on things that would be counter-productive or not gain anything. He does have a vindictive/sadistic streak, particularly if someone frustrates him or treads on a raw nerve, although he's probably marginally safer in the Room for not having any real goal to use people for or major threat looming over him.
While he's quite capable of taking care of himself, he's fond of his luxuries and creature comforts, and will try and make them for himself if they're removed and he has the time.
He has a very strong survival instinct, and a serious threat to his life is the other sure way to get him to lose his temper.
His "hair" is actually fine, loose feathers - more obvious with the few crest feathers; the rest of them may not be obvious without closer inspection, but he will be fussy about anything damaging them above and beyond just vanity (which he's got a LOT of), especially if there's any pinfeathers.
